Actually, you can, and there are several professions which receive special treatment from the industry as concerns their cheap car insurance rates. Perhaps you will belong to one of these lucky groups. Looking at car insurance ratings for people with different types of employment, you can see from the data that people in science related professions tend to have the cheapest car insurance premiums, whereas people who own their own businesses are different in that they have the highest among all professions. What’s the difference? Well, scientists already get their discounts for having a degree in the field of science and are known for being attentive and responsible. As for business owners, they probably have to get more coverage than a scientist, because business person’s car is often extremely important to their livelihood.
According to research by car insurance companies, people in professions such as owning a business spend a lot of time driving for business purposes, and also have to stay in almost constant contact with someone over the phone, which makes for an increased driving risk. Scientists pay more attention to their surroundings, and thus constitute a lower risk. Actors often live in areas with good public transportation, and thus drive vary little or have junky cars that cost little to insure.
